  • Determines how current diet meets your horse’s nutritional requirements based on the National Research Council’s Nutrient Requirements of Horses  

  • Report on calcium: phosphorus ratio, zinc to copper ratio 

  • Report on total non structural carbohydrate content of the diet

  • Make general recommendations to increase/decrease nutrients as needed

  • Discount if multiple (>3) horses on same hay/feeds are analyzed ($200 each)

  • Owner must provide weight estimate of horse, body condition score, activity level, health history, pictures, etc.

  • Owner must provide information and weights of all feeds and supplements offered, hay/pasture analysis (improves accuracy of the evaluation), weight of hay fed, information about pasture

• 2. In Person Full Dietary Evaluation for your horse

  • $350/horse, plus travel 

  • Physical examination of your horse to estimate body weight and condition

  • Weighing of all feeds and hay offered daily, pasture inspection, can take hay sample for analysis (cost of hay analysis not included, but I can send it in and add the cost to your invoice)

  • Receive same as Online Full Dietary Evaluation

  • Discount if multiple (>3) horses on same hay/feeds are analyzed ($300 each)

  • No mileage if horse is at a horse show at the NC Hunt Horse Complex in Raleigh

 

• 3. Diet Evaluation and Evolution 

  • $500/horse

  • 3 month package 

  • Includes all of package 1

  • Evaluates and fine tunes the diet

  • Based on discussion with the horse owner, feedback, new feeds/supplements selected, new dietary formulation and evaluation

  • Includes 1 hr of phone calls

 

• 4. Clinical Diet Evaluation and Evolution

  • $600/horse​

  • 6 month package

  • Evaluates the diet with input from veterinarian 

  • Based on discussion with the horse owner, feedback, new feeds/supplements selected, new dietary formulation and evaluation

  • Includes all of #1

  • Includes 1.5 hrs of phone calls

• 5. Feeding Program Evaluation for your facility and horses

  • $250/hr site visit, plus mileage

  • Evaluation of horses and feeds available, can take hay sample for analysis

  • General recommendations for your feeding program

  • Fee waived if Full Dietary Evaluation (#2) performed on at least 3 horses

• 6. Educational Seminars/Webinars for your boarders and/or students of any age

  • Specifically designed for your group to meet your interests

  • $300 for 2 hr talk/discussion, plus mileage
